Just in response to an article posted by one anonymous user I belief that it is maybe a better idea if we continue the discussion in the idea of a forum treat ...

I'm not agreeing with the original posting, but it is an interesting angle. For the people who turn this into a Thaksin discussion; the original article says nothing about Thaksin, and I belief he has little to do with arguments in the original article.
The facts are that PAD is holding the whole country hostage, with about 240,000 foreign tourists being forced against their will, to stay in Thailand can be seen as a act of terrorism. Terrorism doesn't need to have to include deathly weapons; all I have seen PAD guards shooting unarmed civilians (was on TV).
For the record, the PAD "guards" do not have a permit to carry arms, and therefore are breaking the law.
My last, point is that the current action of the PAD is costing Thailand too much; taking over both airports is for me a step too far. I belief that everybody has the right to demonstrate, but there is a limit what you can do....

I agree that it has been taken way to far. Both sides are like 10 year olds trying to out do each other. By both sides, I mean the PAD and the current puppet government with the DAAD. As with the PAD, I do agree that the government needs to be dissolved and that sitting in at parliament house was a simple and non harmful protest. Taking over the international airports was and is completely out of line. However, as it was done peacefully without injury to anyone--it is not a terrorist act (this phrase is used as a media tag) I would say more of an act of anarchy against the gov. not the monarchy. Unfortunately, I believe that this was not well thought out; other than on how to accomplish it. It truly hurts the country and it's people.
I do not believe that the PAD should be able to establish the type of governance that they exactly want. The PPP needs to be dissolved as it is nothing more than an extension of Thaksin and his ego. Get all of this crap out of the way and let the Thai people decide on how they should be governed and by whom. It would take time and a lot of debating, but it will be decided by the people themselves without any vote buying. (note: parliament has just been dissolved!!!) Hopefully, a sense of normality will come back to Thailand.

Thailand now needs to work as fast as possible on damage control, and starting in restoring air-post and Express mail services.
Without the ability of sending international express mail the blocked of Suvarnabhumi International Airport in basic block all international trade also. Without the ability to send shipping documents overseas it is for Thai companies impossible to receive payments on L/C's and D/P payments.
If, as the AoT says is true and Suvarnabhumi International Airport can take start operations after about 7 days after the airport is cleared... would be to long.

But the red shirts have a permit to carry and use grenades against unarmed civilians, and kill them? or knife an old man to death, because his son does not agree with Thaksin? Get real...and study your subject before you make a comment...Also for the record, Thaksin has been holding the whole Thai population hostage with his mania about power and money. He is the only one responsible for all this mayhem...and all the decent people know it. He paid for the votes of the poor devils in Isaan, and has the Chiang Mai population abetted because he comes from San Khampaeng, and so they have this "chauvinistic and idiotic" awe for the mad man's manipulations of them...
